Hawaii Beach Campervans offers a unique accommodation. Each campervan comes with its own personality and style. Due to the age of our campervans, we ask that you please care for them as if they were your own. Hawaii Beach Campervans keeps all of our vehicles in good working condition with continual checkups and safety inspections. will continue to provide safe and reliable vehicles for our guests.

We WILL NOT rent out a vehicle that is not in good working conditions. If any issues are faced with the vehicles, we will accommodate the situation and do all we can to get you back on the road and enjoying the freedom and adventure of Hawaii. Due to the age of our campervans, breakdowns are always a possibility. To help prevent any issues for yourself or future guests, we ask that you please care for the campervan as if it were your own.

There are no millage fees for renting one of our campervans; however, it is advised that you attempt to limit excessive driving to ensure the safety and longevity of the vehicle. Please keep in mind the excessive traffic that can be faced when driving on Oahu and giving the campervan a rest after long drives.

Camping in Oahu

On the island of Oahu, state campgrounds do NOT accommodate campervans; however, there are a few campgrounds that do. If you wish for more information on where you can park, please contact us. A customized map with special recommendations around the island will be provided to guests after booking.

Reservations and Fees

There will be a rental agreement sent to all guests to be filled out. Once the filled out agreement has been sent back to us, self-check in instructions will be emailed to all guests. Please email us @ hello@hawaiibeachcampervans.com

CHECK-OUT is at 10 AM or earlier. If you need to check-out after 10AM please add to your reservation our “late check-out” option.

The “late check-out” optional fee will be charged to guests that check-out after 10 am.

*** Please note, we will still pick you up at the time you requested, from Airport, Honolulu, or Waikiki and bring you to the north shore. However we might have you wait at the Polynesian Cultural Center or at the beach while we get the van ready for you at 3PM.

All reservations will be charged a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of 10% or U$100 (whichever is higher) at the time of booking. The remaining amount will be charged to you card used in the reservation process 7 days prior to your check in. Please keep in mind that after 7 days we do not accept cancellations. No exceptions, unless is offered by us. We do offer a Trip insurance protection in case of emergencies, please select as an add-on to your reservation.

Hawaii General Exercise tax of 4.75 %

The state of Hawaii also charges a $3/day fee for rental cars.

*Please be aware of international card fees on transactions. Some international cards have a fee that is charged by the payment providers (not our company) can vary around 3% of the total. Please double check how your card works.

Cancellations

Reservation is a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of 10% or $100 (whichever is higher) at the time of booking.

If the renter has paid in full and the booking is canceled more than 14 days prior to booking start date, a partial refund of 50% of the full rental amount (minus fees) is issued.

If canceled and the renter has only paid the reservation deposit, no refund is issued.

If canceled less than 14 days prior to booking start date, no refund is issued.

We must be fair to all of our guests which is why there are NO EXCEPTIONS. If you wish to avoid any of these issues, please add trip insurance to your reservation.

Insurance

We do offer (optional) a full comprehensive protection for drivers that are over 25 years old.

The insurance will cover up to $1M in liability.

In order to qualify for insurance protection, guests must pass a quick and easy DMV check online. This check will review tickets or fines that appear and may disqualify the driver for insurance. Guests who fail to pass the DMV requirements will not have full coverage insurance on their campervan rental. International guests from outside the US can still apply for insurance using their regular Driver’s License. Let us know if you have any questions regarding insurance or the DMV check.

Drivers under the age of 25 and those who wish to waive our insurance coverage are free to do so; however, by accepting these “Terms”, you are responsible and subject to any and all damages or loss to the rental vehicle.

We recommend all guests to book insurance with their rental vehicle. Like most rental car companies, there is a “underage driver’s fee” of $25.00 that will need to be paid per day on the vehicle regardless if the renter who is younger than 25 years of age accepts insurance or not. Please contact us if you are younger than 25 and wish to insure your rental vehicle.

Acknowledgement

Hawaii Beach Campervan is not responsible for any damages, inconveniences, or costs caused by changes in reservations (regardless of the reason). Furthermore, Hawaii Beach Campervans is not responsible for any loss, injury, or damage to person and/or property from any equipment rented from Hawaii Beach Campervan including but not limited to, the vehicle rental.

An additional contract will be required to be signed in conjunction with these terms and conditions.

Substitutions / Breakdowns

Hawaii Beach Campervans provides guests will safe and reliable vehicles; however, unexpected situations may occur. In the case of a breakdown or anything that compromising the operation of the campervan, Hawaii Beach Campervans will do all it can to resolve the situation. If any vehicle issues cannot be resolved within 8 hours, the following will be applied:

Substitution for similar or another vehicle, if other is available, will be provided to the guest at no extra cost and/or fees.
A refund for the remaining days of stay will be given to guests if no vehicle substitution is available.
Hawaii Beach Campervans will not be liable for any additional accommodation or transportation expenses of your trip in any circumstance. We will do all we can to help you in finding and acquiring new accommodation and/or transport if the previous situation occurs. We will still make your trip and enjoyment a priority
In case of a breakdown, or anything that compromises the operation of the vehicle, we will do our best to resolve the issue as soon as we can, if we can not solve it in a 8 Hour window, the following will apply:
Substitution for similar or another vehicle, if other is available, at no extra cost and/or fees. (THIS WILL INCLUDE EXCHANGES BETWEEN CHEVYS, FORDS AND DODGES IN OCCASIONS – So please understand that some cases, we will exchange you to a different van)

These are the “terms and conditions” of renting with Hawaii Beach Campervans. We do all we can to ensure our operation runs smoothly without any interruptions. We seek to provide the best service to our guests so that they may enjoy the wonderful island of Oahu. We will always be transparent and clear with our guest interaction.
